About Us

The Joseph Carlebach Institute (JCI) at Bar Ilan University/ Israel is an academic-educational institute which focuses on: Judaism, Holocaust and Jewish History, Hebrew Language as well as Jewish and Israeli Cinema. The JCI would like to contribute to a better understanding between Germans and Jews/ Israelis and it organizes joint seminars and conferences with german-speaking universities, institutes and student groups. The JCI also offers lectures in English, Hebrew, German, Italian and French to interested parties in and outside Israel upon request.
